Who are we:
FacePass enables automated base access by identifying a vehicle's driver using facial recognition. It works similarly to today's ID card check, except that instead of handing a guard your ID card, you just look at a camera. In about a second, FacePass identifies you assuming you're authorized---that is, assuming your photo is one of the many photos of persons authorized to access the base. Once identified, the red light turns green, and perhaps a boom gate opens, and you drive through the gate. Today's facial recognition is as accurate as a fingerprint. It's easy to update FacePass with photos of currently-authorized drivers. FacePass can open lanes the base cannot afford to man today. More lanes means more throughput.
