Additive manufacturing (AM) repair using hybrid AM technologies will be leveraged using powder-fed, laser-melted metal deposition heads installed in a Haas VF11 vertical machining center. This solution offers rapid qualification as parts will be repaired rather than wholly fabricated via AM with minimal implementation risk. The solution includes building, machining and inspecting in a single part set-up. Integration of pre-build scanning, secure data sharing and post-processing are considered.Click to enlarge
